I just had to replay Tetris Effect for PSVR2, one of my favourite games of all times, and this headset let me play it through in one sitting. It is just so much more relaxing and not so straining on the eyes as PSVR1 was. A delight!
As far as it goes with the PSVR2 upgrade of Tetris Effect I actually couldn’t make out much difference between the base game and this upgrade. It looks and sounds fantastic, but so did the base game for PlayStation 4.
I didn’t use the PlayStation move controller for this game, but an ordinary DualSense controller. I don’t think there would be any benefit of using the move controllers, and Tetris Effect requires rock solid controlling. If you mess up you might have to reset the level.
It felt wonderful to be back in the world of Tetris Effect and I actually didn’t remember the second half of the game very well as I usually just play the first three sets of levels before I get bored. And also, that last level is a beast!
I rate this game as EXCELLENT.
