Little Misfortune

I’d never heard about this game before I found it in the PSN January sale, and I fell for the trailer. Go watch it, it’s really good.

I’m a sucker for small Swedish developers. Love to play games by local devs.

This game reminds me a lot of Oxenfree, but instead of being creepy this game is hilariously funny. It has a very dark sense of humor, joking about things you really shouldn’t, but in a tasteful way. Like “this is my favorite rock, because my father threw it at my head, and that was the one time he really noticed me”, Outch!

The narrative is great, the story is okay but somewhat predictable and the art style is really nice looking and playful. The gameplay is more like a visual novel than a puzzler. It’s a small experience you can play through in one sitting, but it’s really worth it.

I rate this game as GREAT.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
