Bowser’s Fury is a stand alone game that is bundled together with Super Mario 3D World on Nintendo Switch. It features the same graphics and mechanics, but a separate story and an open world. You travel between different courses where your mission is to reach or unlock a Cat Shine, in order to defeat Bowser. Each course has 5 iterations and you need to collect 50 Cat Shines to beat the game.
This is fun! It is kind of a play ground with the mechanics of Super Mario 3D World, even if Bowser’s continuing reappearance is somewhat annoying. The courses are fun, and sometimes a bit tricky, but never too difficult. Searching for the cat coins however can be a drag and I had to YouTube some of them that were hidden in not so obvious places.
This is a stand alone experience which took maybe 5 hours to beat. You can do the courses in any order, and you don’t have to do all of them to beat the game.
