I rarely play games on my phone, but sometimes one comes along to peek my interest. What the golf have been nagging at me. Seems to be everywhere, wanting me to download it. So I did.
What this game does is playing with your expectations in a smart and silly way. You have the golfer, the ball, the green. You charge up and release. Away flies the club towards the flag pole.
Next you have the same scene again. You charge up, release and now the golfer is the one go flying towards green.
And again, you release, this time the golf ball sails toward the green, however the flag pole move at the moment of release to another part of the screen.
The game is full of puns, making me chuckle, and whole levels making reference to some other game, like the level SUPER GOLF. Just like SUPER HOT time only flows while the golf ball moves. It’s fun, because you don’t know what to expect.
The graphics are ok, the sound can become a bit irritating and some of the mechanics aren’t 100%. I found the crab levels and the first person levels infuriating. This is to be expected from a small indie developer with limited resources.
This was a fun game, I truly enjoyed it, and I 100%ed it in 7 hours.
I rate this game as GOOD.
