I got this idea from @SoVideogames podcast about making a top 10 games list. The idea of a top 10 list that is a moving target appeals to me. I’ve always thought of top 10 as final, but here is what my top 10 games are right now.
In no particular order
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge

I remember when I first got my hands on this, and it was completely amazing. The graphics was something I never seen before and the game felt huge.
I replayed this a few years ago, and it struck me how well polished this game is. It still makes me laugh even though I played it dozen of times by now.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

This game is painful to play. It hurts me in so many ways, but yet it is a completely unique experience. There is not enough praise I can give this game. It came as a bolt of lightning and totally struck me away.
Shovel Knight

I own this game on PS4, and I’m all out of save slots. I own this game on PS3 and I’m out of save slots. I also own this game on PSVita and I’m out of save slots. I’m thinking of buying it for 3DS for my son. I’m also thinking about the Switch version, maybe an Amiibo. Why not a plushie.
Sky Force Reloaded

I had forgot that I love shoot ‘em ups. I did grow up with them, but then they disappeared. Just recently I’ve found my way back to shooters and I love them, Sky Force in particular. I select the sequel, Sky Force Reloaded because I love the intricate systems it creates on top of Anniversary.
SUPERHOT VR

I thought that SUPERHOT was good. It didn’t blow me away, but it was good. I liked the concept, and it did something new. SUPERHOT VR on the other hand – oh my god! It completely redefines what you can do with VR and I love it. I die and die and die again, but I just love it even more.
Demon’s Souls

I don’t feel obligated adding a Souls game to this list. At least I think I don’t feel obligated, even though I feel a little bit obligated, but I don’t want to feel obligated. Dark Souls 1 is a masterpiece but it pisses me off. Demon’s Souls got me curious about the series again, and made me feel that little tingle you get when the curtain gets drawn from your eyes and you notice how small you are in a very big world.
Thumper

I’m into experiences. Thumper is an experience that will put the beat and your pulse up to 200 bpm. This is the most intense game I’ve ever played and most probably ever will play. Oh, and this game is so weird! Love it!
Bloodborne

The story, the characters, the atmosphere. It all blew me away in 2015 and it still keeps blowing me away every time I think of it.
Civilization 2

I played so much Civilization 1, and Civilization 2 just blew me away. Then Civilization 3 felt very unbalanced. Civilization 4 was really good, but it got a bit lost with religion, and Civilization 5 I played too few times and Civilization 6 I haven’t finished a complete game. I’m a fan, but if I want to select one specific game, Civilization 2 is the one I’ve had most fun with.
IK+

I’m always up for IK+. The reason I think this game is so good is because it is very tactical. You wait, you move a little, you wait. You plan, and you execute, boom boom both other players down. They got up, hit them in the crouch. Yeah! Win!
